Demokritos Tavern is a family run business, established in 1971.
The name “DEMOKRITOS” is originated from the ancient Greek philosopher Democritus. As one of the oldest traditional taverns in Kato Paphos, Demokritos has managed to sustain high standards of quality, based on the Mediterranean cuisine and folk friendly environment which offers to the guests.
Food is not just a simple matter, but what sets a distinction among other businesses.

In the centre of Kato Paphos, on Agias Napas, a large tavern where you eat while listening to traditional Greek music: bouzouki and songs accompanied by dances. Its dimensions make it a «tourist factory», but you can enjoy it if you appreciate this atmosphere. Go above all for the show.

We had an amazing evening at a traditional Cypriot taverna in Paphos!
The food was excellent, but the true highlight was the incredible atmosphere and the live show. Both our young children and the adults were absolutely mesmerized.
The owner of the restaurant was wonderful — she helped us choose the best dishes and made us feel right at home.
The kids loved dancing, breaking plates, and watching the fireworks at the end of the night.
